Ingredients
- 1 c all-purpose flour or 1:1 gf flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 c cane sugar
- 1/2 c almond milk
- 2 tbsp coconut oil melted & cooled
- 1/4 c applesauce
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
- In a medium bowl, stir together wet ingredients.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined (do not overmix!).
- Using a piping bag or spoon, transfer batter into moulds and fill each 3/4 way full.
- Bake 11-12mins or until toothpick comes out clean.
- For the coating, mix together all the ingredients in a shallow bowl. Let donuts cool 10mins and then dip donuts in coating while still warm so the sugar sticks (you can also spray donuts with cooking spray before coating).
