Ingredients
- 400 g bok choy
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 fresh chilli finely chopped
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oil for cooking
- 1 tbsp corn starch mix with 50 ml water
- salt for seasoning
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to boil. Once the water is boiling drizzle some oil and salt.
- Blanch the bok choy for about 2 minutes, quickly remove from the boiling water and soak in cold water to stop the cooking process.
- Heat oil in a wok, sauté the garlic & fresh chilli till fragrant. Add in the sauce ingredients and cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
- Lastly pour the sauce on the bok choy and serve immediately.

Any replacement s for hoisin sauce

Regular soy sauce will work just fine!
Tasty savoury sauce! Next time I will try adding some ginger and maybe a little sweetener.
If you cool the veg in ice , it says serve hot…. Do you heat up the veg ? Or is it served cold with the hot sauce over it ?
